Marilyn Boerio was raised in Cleveland, Ohio, but since 1970, she and her husband Jim have made Cincinnati their home. They have two married children and particularly enjoy their three grandchildren, Joe, Carly and Adam.
Marilyn received her RN diploma from St. Alexis Hospital School of Nursing in Cleveland and subsequently worked at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital from 1964-197 focusing on the toddler age group. In 1989 she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati and began working at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center on the infant unit.
In 1991, Marilyn completed the Masters of Science in Nursing at the University of Cincinnati, and became certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner through the National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. She is licensed to practice as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in the State of Ohio and has worked as a Nurse Practitioner since 1991, providing primary care to all age groups. Marilyn has had an active leadership role as educator and preceptor of the PNP graduate students. She has a particular interest in assisting families welcoming their new infants as well as teaching and caring for those patients with asthma.
As a compassionate, energetic, caring Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with proven strengths in family teaching and patient advocacy, her personal philosophy is to provide the best possible care to patients and families. Marilyn joined our practice in May of 2004.
