Parenting Children with ADHD Class
Mar 03, 2026Northeast Cincinnati Pediatrics is excited to offer a 4-week parent education class this April and May for parents of children with ADHD or ADHD-like behaviors. This interactive program led by Christian Myton, LPC, is designed to provide practical tools, expert guidance, and supportive discussion to help families better understand and manage attention, impulsivity, and behavioral challenges.
Who Should Attend?
This class is ideal for parents of children who:
Are between the ages of 6 and 12 years old and are current patients of Northeast Pediatrics
Have a diagnosis of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Struggle with focus, organization, or executive functioning
Exhibit impulsive behavior, hyperactivity, or emotional dysregulation
Are experiencing school or behavioral challenges related to attention
Parents do not need a formal ADHD diagnosis for their child to participate.
What You’ll Learn
Over four weeks, parents will gain evidence-based strategies to support their child at home and school, including:
Understanding ADHD symptoms and executive function challenges
Positive behavior management techniques
Supporting school success and classroom accommodations
Reducing stress and improving family dynamics
This small-group setting allows time for discussion, questions, and real-world problem solving.
Why Parent Training Matters
Research shows that parent training in behavior management for ADHD is one of the most effective first-line interventions for managing behavioral concerns. Equipping parents with consistent strategies can significantly improve attention, behavior, and overall family well-being.
